Bridge School on GB Road is a ‘bridge’ to integrate with society at large. Bridge school is a place where the women and the child feel free to come, and can feel a sense of ownership and security. The school has a training module which focuses on capacity building in academics, cultural activities, technological knowledge and building a value system of love and service.

It facilitates interaction and engagement with experts, professionals and mentors from all walks of life who can help them heal and facilitate their process of integration with mainstream society.

The main objectives of Bridge school are:

Building empathy and resilience in women and children through value education, meditation, circle of sharing, guided by inclusive and nurturing mentors. Instilling self-confidence and self-esteem in women and children so they can dream and have the courage to step out of G.B. Road

The Children of GB Road have access to a choice of diverse activities for personal growth:

  • A space with support staff from Kat-Katha who understand the issues faced by them and have experience in building a nurturing environment for them.
  • Educational support
  • Support in personality development.
  • Support in skill/ECA building - dance, music, craft, computers, etc.
  • Support in stress/financial/health management- sound therapy, workshops, etc.
  • Support in appearing in required exams.
  • Arrange for visits in various states/institutions/organization to increase their world view.
